Duke Score
Result
Duke Score — free online calculator.
Formula
- Compute the Duke Treadmill Score with all three inputs, including exercise angina. Returns score, group and an important interpretation limitation; not an individual CAD diagnosis or mortality percentage.
- The main inputs are Maximum Exercise Time, ST-Segment Deviation, Angina Type During Exercise. Enter them in the units and format shown in the calculator.
- Use the measurement units shown beside each field. The result is an estimate and should be interpreted in context.
- Changing any input above recalculates the result with the same calculation engine used by this page.
Example: Duke Score
- Maximum Exercise Time: 6 minutes
- ST-Segment Deviation: 0 mm
- Angina Type During Exercise: 0
For 6 minutes exercise, 0 mm ST deviation and no angina (0), Duke score = 6, low-risk group. At 6 minutes, 1 mm deviation and nonlimiting angina (1), score = −3, intermediate group.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Duke Score calculate?
Duke Score — free online calculator.
Which values should I enter?
Enter Maximum Exercise Time, ST-Segment Deviation, Angina Type During Exercise using the units and format shown beside each field.
What formula does this calculator use?
The calculator uses the following relationship: Duke Treadmill Score = exercise time in minutes − (5 × ST-segment deviation in mm) − (4 × angina index), where angina index is 0 (none), 1 (nonlimiting), or 2 (exercise limiting). Risk bands: ≥5 low, −10 to <5 intermediate, <−10 high. Risk groups are not individualized mortality predictions..
Why might my result differ from another source?
Results can differ because measurement methods, rounding and assumptions vary. This calculator is an estimate and is not a medical diagnosis.
Does the result update automatically?
Yes. Changing an input updates the result using the same calculation engine shown on this page.
