Calculation & Assumptions
Each event is capped at 100. General fitness uses editable targets; official protocols use their own event requirements and tables.
- Push-ups: 30 ÷ 50 × 100 = 60 / 100
- Sit-ups: 40 ÷ 60 × 100 = 66.7 / 100
- Run: (18:00 − 12:00) ÷ (18:00 − 9:00) × 100 = 66.7 / 100
Average unrounded scores first; the dashboard rounds to a whole point. General tiers follow that displayed score: <60 Needs improvement, 60–<75 Good, 75–<90 Above average, 90–100 Excellent.
Understanding Your Score
Your score shows how your performance compares to the selected targets. Use it to track progress, identify strengths and set your next goal.
Different tests (e.g. military, police, general fitness) use different event requirements and scoring tables. Results are not interchangeable. Verify event technique, duration, scoring tables and minimums with your recruiting authority.
This calculator provides an educational estimate and does not assess medical fitness or guarantee eligibility.
The Navy option is a standard low-altitude PRT table lookup for age 20+. The Army AFT has different events; a three-event 1.5-mile model is not an Army score. Custom mode uses your anchors, not a verified agency table.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an official military or police score?
No. General and Custom are transparent ST target-based models. The Navy option estimates event points using the December 2025 Guide-5A Table 4-1, for age 20+ and the standard low-altitude push-up, forearm-plank and 1.5-mile-run combination. It does not cover all official requirements, alternate cardio, combat-arms rules, waivers or medical clearance. Your authority decides eligibility.
Can I use a plank instead of sit-ups?
Yes. General and Custom let you choose sit-ups or a timed forearm plank. The default personal plank target is 3:00 and can be edited. Navy mode requires the forearm plank and looks up its published age/sex threshold; it does not convert sit-ups to plank performance.
How is the overall score calculated?
For General and Custom, push-up and core performance are divided by their targets; the run score falls linearly between the fast and slow anchors. Each score is clamped to 0–100, then the unrounded mean is displayed as a whole point. The example 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups and 12:00 run averages 64.4444.
How does the Navy table lookup work?
Each event receives the highest published point level whose threshold is met, without interpolation. When any event falls below the 45-point row, this tool shows Below table minimum and withholds the numeric average instead of inventing a subminimum score. The visible table shows all 12 thresholds for your supported profile.
Why do age and sex not change the general score?
The General and Custom models measure performance against editable targets, not population norms. Age and sex are profile information in those modes. They select the correct published table only in Navy mode.
Is the scenario a training prediction?
No. It recalculates the same selected model with extra repetitions or plank seconds and a faster run. It does not predict whether, when or how safely that improvement can be achieved.
